Kids can create these simple Easter egg holders with basic craft supplies.

Keep the kids entertained with a fun and easy Easter project. After you have colored the eggs, make an adorable bunny or chick egg holder. Use supplies you have around the house or pick up a few items at the craft store.

Supplies Needed To Make A Bunny Egg Holder

  • Paper cups, white or pink
  • Small white or pink pom-poms
  • White pipe cleaners
  • Pink crayon and marker
  • Medium sized wiggle eyes
  • White paper or craft foam
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Green Easter grass

Bunny Easter Egg Holder Directions

The bunny egg holder can be made in either white or pink. Use a white paper cup, a pink paper cup or color a white cup with a pink marker. Next, make bunny ears by cutting out ear shapes from either white craft foam or white paper. Color the center of the ears pink with crayon or marker or glue a cut-out piece of pink paper or foam in the middle. Glue the ears onto the back of the cup with the pink side facing the front, bunny face side.

Start to assemble the bunny face by gluing on two wiggle eyes. Next, cut a white pipe cleaner into six small pieces to make whiskers. Glue the whiskers, 3 on each side of the face, just below the eyes. Glue the white pom-pom in the center of where the whiskers meet to make the nose. Use a pink pom-pom on a white cup or the white pom-pom on the pink cup.

For the final step, fill the cup with green Easter grass. Place a decorated Easter egg on top of the green grass and you are finished!

Supplies Needed To Make A Chick Egg Holder

  • Paper cups, white or yellow
  • Medium sized wiggle eyes
  • White paper with orange crayon or orange paper
  • Yellow marker (if using white cups)
  • Small yellow feathers
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Green Easter grass

Chick Easter Egg Holder Directions

The chick egg holder should be yellow. Either use a white paper cup and color it yellow with marker or crayon or simply use a yellow cup. Next, glue a few yellow feathers onto the back of the cup to make tail feathers. The feathers should stick up above the rim of the cup.

To make the chicks’ beak and feet, use orange paper or color white paper orange with marker or crayon. Cut out a small orange triangle for the nose and an orange heart for the feet. Cut the heart so that when you place it on the bottom of the cup, the top of the heart will stick out and resemble feet. Then, just glue it on. Glue the nose in the middle of the face section with the triangle point facing downward.

Next, add the wiggle eyes by gluing them above the beak. The final step is the same as with the bunny egg holder; fill the cup with green Easter grass and place a decorated Easter egg on top of the grass.
